In 2007, while teaching at Red River Academy in Louisiana, I was introduced to STEM again with barriers - limited access to students and overcoming resource challenges. This experience fueled my dedication to nurturing a love for science among young learners. In 2010, I had the incredible experience of advising 9th graders for 4-H's National Youth Science Day, which solidified my commitment even further.
Balancing roles as a SMART (STEM) Lab Facilitator and an Evening Instructional Manager for three years allowed me to combine my varied expertise into a meaningful role. I have continually sought growth through training, engaging with amazing programs like FIRST Lego League, and completing accredited initiatives such as the National Institute for STEM Education (NISE) and NASA’s Space Academy for Educators.
