I’m thrilled to share the relaunch of the SOURCE Outreach Program, which embodies my passion for shaping young minds and my rich background in STEM education! My adventure started in 2002 as an AmeriCorps State member, where I truly understood the remarkable influence of inspiring children in science and technology.
In 2007, while teaching at Red River Academy in Louisiana, I was introduced to STEM again with barriers - limited access to students and overcoming resource challenges. This experience fueled my dedication to nurturing a love for science among young learners. In 2010, I had the incredible experience of advising 9th graders for 4-H's National Youth Science Day, which solidified my commitment even further.
Balancing roles as a SMART (STEM) Lab Facilitator and an Evening Instructional Manager for three years allowed me to combine my varied expertise into a meaningful role. I have continually sought growth through training, engaging with amazing programs like FIRST Lego League, and completing accredited initiatives such as the National Institute for STEM Education (NISE) and NASA’s Space Academy for Educators.
I wholeheartedly believe that the SOURCE Outreach Program will ignite the spark of innovation in the upcoming generation of leaders. Today, I passionately share my journey through public speaking and career development coaching, inspiring curiosity and unlocking potential in learners and professionals alike. Together, let’s create an enduring passion for learning that extends well beyond the classroom!
